Adding Web Boxes to Pages
Web boxes are special content areas which typically dynamically generated and generally display along the right side of a page.
In most cases the dynamic content generated includes lists of the most recent or most popular Event, Blog, etc items. The example at the right is a web box which includes the latest blog posts from this programs.cocc.edu community.
To add a web box to a page you must have full Administrator rights. (Click here for help logging in.)
- Navigate to the page where you would like to have a web box displayed.
- Click the Edit Settings link displayed in the content area.
- In the resulting web form check the "Show/Hide ADVANCED OPTIONS & SECURITY SETTINGS" box.
- Scroll to the bottom of the page.
- The last set of settings on the right hand side is used for adding, removing and customizing your web boxes.
- For more detailed help regarding the options available click the Help link (
) available in the Web Box settings heading.
- Once the desired web boxes have been added to the selected boxes section save your changes and the web boxes should appear with the currently applicable content included.
