Reviewing Your Web Page Content
To help maintain a high quality of content on the COCC web site, community web pages are able to track the last date that their content was reviewed and by whom.
Tracking this review information is intended to be helpful with making sure the web page content is complete, accurate, and generally functioning correctly.
To review a page
- Login to gain access to the editing features for the page that you want to review.
- Navigate to the page.
- Read through the contents of the web page and verify that everything is correct.
- Make sure to verify that all links, images, etc included on the page are functioning properly.
- Once everything looks good click the "Content Review" link.
- Answer the resulting review question.
That's it.
Ideally all content on the COCC web would be reviewed yearly, but this is a goal that will be a challenge due to the coordination involved and the wide range of content on the COCC web. Therefore the hope is really that some web administrators will find these content review tracking features useful and therefore take advantage of them.
Checking The Review Status for your Community Pages
When logged in as a web administrator the Edit Sections page under Admin includes a column at the far right showing the current Review Status for each section (page) in your community. This status is communicated using a colored flag with the following indication.
- Reviewed within the last year |
- Reviewed over 1 year ago |
- Never reviewed or
reviewed over 2 years ago |
Holding the mouse pointer over a given flag will display the exact review date and time, along with the login name of the person that did the review.
