Web Administration Login
COCC web page administration is done by simply logging in with the appropriate credentials while using Microsoft Internet Explorer on a Windows PC. Editing involves using a variety of web forms for creating and modifying existing web pages.
For a short flash video clip see the "Getting Started and Logging In" section of our recorded training session.
To request an administration or editing account:
- Go to the web site for which you need administration access. (e.g., http://myweb.cocc.edu).
- Type in /Admin after the URL (e.g., http://myweb.cocc.edu/Admin). A login page will appear.
- Near the middle of the page click "I need help!".
- Click the "Submit a request for administrative/editing access" link.
- Once received your request will be processed, likely including getting approval from the existing web administrator.
If you have an account with full Administration access:
- Go to your site on the Web (e.g., http://myweb.cocc.edu).
- Type in /Admin after the URL (e.g., http://myweb.cocc.edu/Admin). A login page will appear.
- Enter your User Name and Password. If you have rights to edit the site as an administrator, you’ll be taken to the “Administration Menu”. If you do NOT have administrative access you will be asked to login again with an account that does.
NOTE: If you would prefer to use the Administration Menu that should now be displayed for making changes to your site you can do so now instead of following the rest of the below steps.
- Click on the "Return To Site" link that appears near the upper right of the page.
- Now that you are logged in you should see new administration links near the bottom of each web page.
If your account only gives you access to edit select pages:
- Go to the community web (or specific page) that you want to work with (e.g., http://myweb.cocc.edu/default.aspx).
- In your browser's address bar, change the page name from "default.aspx" to "users_login.aspx". (e.g., http://myweb.cocc.edu/Web+Design/users_login.aspx)
- A login page will appear. Enter your User Name and Password.
- Once logged in you should see a new editing link near the bottom of the pages for which you have permissions to edit (etc.).

NOTE: "Edit Page Settings" and various other options will only appear if you have full web administration access.
