Sharing your Mailbox.
- Right mouse-click on “Outlook Today – Mailbox”
- Choose “properties”
- Click the “Permissions” tab
- Choose “Add” to select the names of people who should see your mailbox.
- Make the folder “visible” for them.
- Click “Apply”. Then click “OK” to exit this window.
Sharing your Calendar. [Step-by-Step Tutorial...sound required]
- From your Calendar in Outlook, click on the "Share My Calendar" hyperlink.
- The “Properties” window will appear.
- Click on the “Permissions” tab.
- Add the appropriate names.
- Make them “Authors” – or “Editors” depending upon what they should be able to do.
- Click “Apply”. Then click “OK” to exit this window.
To see another person’s calendar (View a Tutorial on Opening a Shared Calendar)
- File/Open/Other User’s Folder
2. That person’s calendar will open up, and then when you are done, you can close it with the close “X” in the upper right-hand corner.
To see both the other person’s mailbox and calendar.
- Choose Tools/Services to see the window below:
- Click on “Properties” to get the window below, selecting the “Advanced” tab.
- Click on “Add” to enter the name of the person whose mailbox you have rights to see.
- Then choose “Apply” and “OK” and “OK.
- Now you will see that person’s mailbox/calendar as shown below.
