DSL via Oregon Trail Internet

This posting is to make you aware of discounted internet rates available to COCC employees through Oregon Trail Internet (OTI), a local internet service provider. This posting is provided as information only. The COCC ITS Department neither endorses nor opposes using this service.

OTI offers these rates to members of any organization with 25 or more employees once that organization has signed up with them, and COCC has done that.

To learn more about their service and the cost to you, please visit their web site at http://www.oregontrail.net/oti_group_discount.htm.

You will notice that both dial-up and Qwest DSL broadband service is available. As many of you know, dial-up service is cheaper than broadband service but of course is much slower. You will want to be certain that dial-up speeds will meet your needs before choosing it. You should also know that there are other providers of dial-up service in the area which you can locate in the Yellow Pages. OTI can only set you up with Qwest DSL broadband service at locations within the Qwest service area.

InstaNet via BendBroadband

By using your cable line instead of your phone line, InstaNet lets you make connections at tremendous speed, giving you the power to do things online instantly that would take all day with an ordinary dial-up service.

For more information visit http://www.bendbroadband.com/instanet.cfm.
